Get Ready With Me With New Products!
Today I'm gonna take you guys along with me as I get ready for the rest of my day. I'm not doing anything exciting, but I did wanna take the opportunity to kinda give you a first impression on my new products that I recently hauled from my last post. I am going to try to use as many new things as possible. I'm not gonna show you step by step on my face, but I'll just show you an after of everything together because the only new products I'm going to be using is the primer, which you can't see, and the concealer which I can easily explain. I will be using my new NYX blush in summer as well.
I started priming my face with the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. It was not as thick as I expected, but it did sink into the skin relatively quickly. Next, I applied the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream which is something I've used a million times before & I love it for light coverage. I just dot it around my face and blend it with my beauty blender. I took the Maybelline Master Conceal in light and dotted it under my eyes around and down my nose then blended it with my beauty blender & took it on my eye lids to give somewhat of an eye base. This concealer is very full coverage, but it does kinda leave you cakey looking more than I like. Next I contoured with the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks, around my jawline, & top of my forehead. For my blush, I take the Nyx HD blush in Summer on the apples of my cheeks and pull it back. This blush is so INSANELY pigmented. You literally need the littlest amount & definitely take your time to blend it to make sure it doesn't look to harsh. It is a gorgeous color though. Lastly for my favorite step, I am taking the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light & highlighting my face. I take it on the high points of my cheeks, down my nose, cupids bow, and pretty much anywhere I wanna bring light to my face. This powder is so gorgeous & you can use it almost everywhere because it's not too sparkly of a highlight. I went ahead & finished my brows as well.
For my eyes, I started out with a base of the Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in Barely Branded. It was as creamy as a MAC paint pot, and left a nice base to start out with. For my eye look, I am using the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette. I start out with Peanut Butter as a transition color in my crease. Next I put Bon Bon all over my lid. Lastly, on a precise blending brush, I place Frosting in the outer V & with a pencil brush I take a little on the outer third of my bottom lash line. I highlight my brow bone with Coconut Cream. My eyeliner is the Too Faced Perfect Eyes Black Eyeliner & Better than Sex Mascara on my lashes. The eye liner is very smooth, but I still prefer the preciseness of a liquid pen liner. Update: I ended up fixing my eye liner with the Kat Von D Trooper liquid eye liner cause I hated the pencil so much. I would definitely use the pencil to tight line or to use on my waterline, just not a fan on my top lid.
I chose to pair this with Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita. This dusty pink is not too overwhelming with a relatively smoky eye look.
I curled my hair to finish off the look. I am STILL trying to figure out how to style my short hair. I haven't gotten used to it at all & I usually just put it up. This is second day hair. Yesterday I washed it after the beach & put in some surf spray. I just brushed it out & curled it to get his look. I was going for more of a beachy wave than precise curls.
I hope you liked getting ready with me today. I'll talk to you guys soon!
xoxo
