Golden Eye Tutorial
Tonight, I was going to my boyfriend's house for dinner and wanted to do something special for my make up. I went with this golden eye look with the new MAC warm palette from the eyes on MAC collection. I skipped showing my face and lips in this tutorial, but if you want me to show you my every day full face look let me know.
First I started by priming my eyes with MAC's paint pot in Bare Study. I just took a MAC 286 brush swirled it around in the paint pot then put it all over the lids, making sure to blend out the edges in my crease.
Then I take MAC's Saddle on a Sigma E25 blending brush and put this back and forth on my crease, as my transition color.
After I have blended Saddle out so there are no harsh lines, I take MAC's Amber Lights on a MAC 239 shader brush, and apply it all over the lid making sure to blend it into Saddle.
Next I take MAC's Butterfudge on the same Sigma brush and lay it on top of Amber Lights just to deepen up my crease, and make sure to blend these colors in so there are no harsh lines.
After, I take MAC's Divine Decadence on a Studio Gear #34 brush which is fluffier than the other two blending brushes and put this in my outer V then drag whatever is left on my brush and blend it into the Butterfudge just to make it a little smokier.
Next I apply my eye liner. I have been LOVING the Kat Von D Ink Liner in Trooper. It's a super black felt tip liquid liner that goes on so flawlessly and does not budge one bit. I do a simple cat eye to compliment this night time look.
After my eye liner, I add my brow bone and inner corner highlight. I use MAC's Brule with a small brush that came in one my other palettes.
Last, I added my mascara. Today I used the Covergirl flamed out mascara. I like this mascara for when I am wearing glasses because it doesn't make my eye lashes to crunchy and push up on my glasses and push them off my face.
This is a great night time neutral look that just has a little smokey element to it. It is too easy and doesn't take too much time. I paired this with a natural pink lip tonight (MAC's Brave) and it was stunning. I definitely suggest this for someone who wants to be completely made up, but doesn't have too much time to be laying a bunch of dark eye shadows which require a lot of blending.
I hope you guys enjoyed this look. I will have links for everything I used at the bottom.
xoxo
Katie
