Colour Pop Lippie Stix Review
Hello lovelies!
Today I am going to be giving you a review of the Colour Pop Lippie Stix. I purchased six different colors, and so far I really like them. They're a bargain at 5 dollars each and they come in five different finishes; matte, satin, glossy, hyper-glossy, and the newest, cream. I have four satin and two matte that I will be sharing with you today. They just released a bunch of new spring colors, and I will probably be ordering some of the new shades soon. One of the downfalls about colour pop is that it is only an online store, so you cannot look at the shades in person, but they do show swatches on three different skin tones so you can get somewhat of an idea of the color you are purchasing. The quality for the price is absolutely amazing. I still cannot believe that these only retail for five dollars a piece. They are all insanely pigmented. Colour Pop offers free shipping at 30 dollars which is nice since they are an online only store. When I ordered, it did take about two weeks to receive them, but I do believe that there was a few snow storms going on that delayed the shipping.
The packaging on these is awesome. They are in a white tube that has a hearty snap shut top. On the bottom, it states the color and has a color swatch of what color it is so it makes it easy to just grab one out of your make up drawer. It has a twist up applicator that is somewhat at a slant which makes application flawless. They also sell lippie pencils that correspond in each of the colors, but I didn't purchase any because I'm not a huge lip liner person. The colors I have are Lumiere, Cake, Frida, Fancy, Lady, and Button.
Top to Bottom: Fancy, Button, Lumiere, Cake, Frida, Lady
These do stain the lips which is quite nice. The staying power is pretty good as well especially for the matte shades. I would suggest wearing a lip balm under the matte shades because they can be somewhat drying. Other than that they're everything I could hope for in a matte lipstick. The satin shades go on super smoothly and feel very comfortable on the lips. They have SO many different shades on the website. There's definitely something for everyone. I cannot wait to order some more of these lippie stix. My favorite shade that I've tried is Frida.
Button:
Button is a satin finish. a mid-tone blue pink.
Fancy:
Fancy is a satin finish. a bright fuchsia pink.
Cake:
Cake is a satin finish. a bright light pink coral.
Frida:
Frida is a satin finish. a pink nude.
Lumiere:
Lumiere is a matte finish. a deep mauve nude.
Lady:
Lady is a matte finish. a deep red berry.
One thing I have noticed about the matte colors is they can settle into the fine lines of my lips, but if you exfoliate your lips beforehand you shouldn't really have a problem. Overall, these are amazing lipsticks especially for the price. Some colors I am interested in ordering next are Brink, I Heart This, Bichette, Creature, Julep, and Cookie. I hope you guys enjoyed this review and expect a tutorial coming your way soon! I hope everyone has a great week!
xoxo
