Beauty Tools I Can't Live Without
Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a couple days but my work schedule has been killing me especially with Easter coming up. Anyways, today's post is all about beauty tools. You can have the have the best make up products in the world, but if you don't have the right tools to put them on with they can be practically useless. I have six to share with you today.
The first tool I want to talk about is my beauty blender. I was so skeptical about this product at first because I thought it was just a 20 dollar sponge and how amazing could it truly be. I was wrong. I purchased it and after the first time using it I was hooked. I use this with my foundations and concealers, and it leaves me with a flawless finish. When I put on my foundation, I put the product on the back of my hand then use my finger to dot it around my face. I take my damp beauty blender and blend the product in around my face. To make the beauty blender damp, I put it under the faucet in the sink and squeeze it a bunch of times until it gets about 2 twice the size it is when it is a dry. I squeeze all the excess water out and dry off the outside with a towel. When I put on my concealer, I make a triangle under my eyes, go around my nose, forehead, down the bridge of my nose, and chin. I use a concealer than has a wand on it, but if you don't, make sure to apply the concealer with your finger first. The beauty blender is so perfect with concealer because I never get cakey. It takes up any of the excess product when I use it to blend. This is probably the tool I could not live without the most. It makes putting on face make up so easy and has completely changed my makeup routine.
The next beauty tool I cannot live without is my sigma E25 blending brush. I love this thing. It is my favorite eye brush hands down. It is a smaller eye brush which allows me to get in my crease perfectly. It's a cheaper alternative to a MAC 217 and I think it does an even better job for a cheaper price tag. I may have to purchase another one of these because I love using it so much. It does a great job of blending colors into the crease as well as not adding any color on the brush and blending colors that are already on the eye.
For my cheeks, I couldn't live without the MAC 168 large angled contour brush. I own the short handled one, but it is still amazing. I love how well it works for my blush even thought it is meant for contouring. I have small cheeks so the angle of the brush allows me to deposit the color precisely where I want it. This would also be ideal for contouring as it can get in the hollows of your cheeks very easily as well. I just swoop the brush from the apples of my cheeks to almost my hairline then blend out the color. My blush literally takes seconds and makes my make up routine time cut down by minutes.
My highlighting savior is my Sigma F35 tapered highlighting brush. I am obsessed with this thing. I love highlighting my face and this brush is the perfect shape to get into any of the places where you want to highlight. It is also perfect for setting your under eye concealer with powder. The only thing with this brush, is it can pick up more product than you want, but with one tap it has the perfect amount to highlight the tops of your cheekbones. This brush is also insanely soft. This is one of my newest brushes that I have purchased and it has quickly become one of my favorites.
When I want a natural finish on my face, I always turn to my Sigma F80 flat top kabuki. This brush has turned into my holy grail for foundation brushes. I was shocked how amazing of a finish this gives my face. It makes me look like I'm barely even wearing any make up at all because it so flawlessly buffs everything into my skin. The edges allow me to get into the crevices next to my nose and place some product close to under my eyes. I put foundation on the back of my hand, then dip the brush into the product and dot it around my face. I use swirling motions to buff and blend the product into my face.
The last tool I am going to talk about is the MAC 286 duo fibre tapered blending brush. This tool is so multifaceted, and I love that I can use it practically for any type of product. I initially purchased it to blend in my under eye concealer because it works amazingly with liquid products, and now I use it to either blend in my eye shadow or to apply a cream base on my eye lids. Sometimes I will spray the brush with some fix plus to transform my eye shadows. The duo fibre aspect of this brush is what really allows it to be such a multi use brush.
Another tool to never underestimate is your hands. You can use them for so many different things, and the warmth of your fingers melts the product into your skin. I sometimes use mine for foundation, concealer, liquid highlighters, and applying a base on my eyelid.
I hope you guys enjoyed my beauty tools that I cannot live without. Please let me know what else you guys would like to see from me. I am going to try to get on a more consistent schedule of when I post. It can be hard because I don't have the same schedule at work every single week, but I will definitely give it a shot. My next post is going to be a March favorites since today is the last day of March! (Holy crap, I cannot believe it is already April!) I will be talking to you guys soon, and have a great day!
xoxo
